HEARTH HERBALISM- Bring herbal medicine into your hands and hearth!
This full-day workshop is a deep exploration into how to work with the medicine growing around you for the health of yourself and family, and your community.
It is about being empowered to take care of your own body and having tools to help your loved ones. It is a form of herbalism that calls upon you to make your home kitchen become an apothecary. This is the way your ancestors would have lived if you look back far enough.
Some points we will explore:
- Learning to identify medicine
- Engaging with your senses
- Connecting to the plants
- Starting your herbal first aid kit
- Prevention instead of cure
- Folklore herbalism VS Scientific herbalism
- Community herbalism
Have you been considering studying herbal medicine but don't know where to start? Perhaps you are interested in growing, harvesting and making medicine? Perhaps you would like to be a herbal practitioner/naturopath?
Many people dive in the deep end and start practitioner-level training when they haven't even yet formed a solid connection to plants as medicine.
Perhaps you already are a trained naturopath/herbalist and are yearning for a deepening experience. Learning (or ancestral remembering) the things that were not taught at university.
All experience levels welcome!
